Weekly Classes

Mondays 7pm, The Garden Room – Traditional Hatha Yoga

Traditional Hatha yoga is an ancient Indian mind-body practice focused on balancing physical energy (ha) and mental energy (tha) through steady postures (asana), breathwork (pranayama), and meditation.

It uses slow, deliberate movements and long holds rather than fast flows.

Core Elements

Asana (Postures): Poses are held for longer periods to build strength, stability, and inner awareness.

Pranayama (Breath Control): Intentional breathing techniques help direct vital life energy (prana).

Stillness: The practice prioritises mental peace and a calm nervous system over rapid physical exertion.

Key Benefits

Flexibility: Lengthens tight muscles and lubricates joints safely through sustained stretching.

Calm Mind: Lowers stress by slowing down the breath and focusing internal awareness.

Spiritual Growth: Serves as a traditional foundation to prepare the body and mind for deeper meditation.
